RAF Leuchars Plowshares Early on March 11, Danish plowshares activist Ulla Roder entered RAF Leuchars Air Base in county Fife, Scotland. She proceeded to hammer on the nose cone, the cockpit, the fuselage, the wings and the other parts of a Tornado fighter jet destined for duty in Iraq. Following her action she peacefully awaited her arrest. Roder was reportedly pleased that this plane will not be dropping bombs on innocent people in Iraq. She is in Jail until her trial, expected this summer. |
