RIVERSIDE PLOWSHARES
On May 25 at 3:45 P.M.,
Catholic workers Sr. Susan Clarkson, Mark Coleville, Brain Buckley and Joan
Gregory, along with numerous tourists, boarded the "USS Philippine Sea," An
Aegis Cruiser Docked on the Hudson River as part of "Fleet Week" in New
York City. The Four Proceeded to the tomahawk Cruise Missile Section Of the
ship, poured their blood and used rubber and wooden hammers on six missile
hatches. This Battleship, also equipped with Gattling guns and depleted
uranium weapons, fired missiles during US Wars in Kosovo, Afghanistan and
Iraq. Mark and Brain Climbed atop the missile hatches and read the group's
statement. All Four were soon apprehended by Navy police, processed on site
by NYPD and then released by Federal agents. The US attorney has indicated
that the four will not be charged. |
