INDICTMENT
COMES NOW this third day of April 1988, the undersigned individuals on their own behalf, on behalf of all peoples, and on behalf of all future generations, end HEREBY INDICT the Above-named U.S. government officials for their criminal interventionary war activities throughout the world, particularly in the Middle East, and for their pursuit of nuclear war-fighting policies: The Navy, under Reagan, has become increasingly aggressive and has assumed a much more interventionary role as exemplified in its participation in the invasion of Grenada, the attack on Libya, the shelling of Lebanon, its presence in the eastern Mediterranean and currently the Persian Gulf. These activities reflect a new maritime strategy which is Inherently belligerent and destabilizing, involving global engagement of the Soviet Navy and deep penetration of Soviet territorial waters at the first sign of conflict. Preparations to carry out this strategy entail provocative naval maneuvers that have in the past and will continue to provide the occasion for superpower confrontation and conflict, accidental or otherwise. New navel weapon systems, most notably the Tomahawk SLCM, have vastly Increased the number of offensive and nuclear capable naval platforms, thus feeding an arms race that robs the poor of the world and threatens all peoples with annihilation. IN VIOLATION of the Nuremberg Principles, other International Laws, and the Law of God. 1 • Nuremberg Charter, Article 6 provides that; The following acts, or any of them are crimes ... for which there shall be Individual responsibility: (a) Crimes Against Peace: Namely, planning or preparation... of a war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances, or participation in a common plan... for the accomplishment of the foregoing; (b) War Crimes: Namely violations of the laws and customs of war. Such violations shall include but not be limited to, murder, ill-treatment... of civilian populations... plunder of public or private property, wanton destruction of cities, towns or villages... (c) Crimes Against Humanity: Namely, murder, extermination... and other inhuman acts committed against any civilian population before or during the war or persecutions on political, racial or religious grounds in execution of or in connection with any crime... whether or not in violation of the domestic law of the country where perpetrated. 2. Other International Laws and Rulings A. United Nations Charter. Article 2(4): States must refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any State. B. Geneva Convention of 1949 - forbids weapons of mass indiscriminate destruction. C. Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (1970): The signers declare their Intention to achieve at the earliest possible date the cessation of the nuclear arms race and to undertake effective measures In the direction of nuclear disarmament. D. International Court of Justice at the Hague (June 27. 1986) ruled that U.S. support of counterrevolutionary forces and other U.S. actions against Nicaragua since 1981 are in violation of international law. 3.
